NO. He had a skin disease, he HAD to bleach his skin. He did it for no reason other than that. He was proud of being his race. Those songs mean nothing [as far as HIS skin color goes]. It was a coincidence that this happened to his skin. Some [including me] say that it's good his skin was bleached. It showed that it TRULY does *not* matter if you're black or white. He wrote those songs, because they are entertaining, but at the same time: they send out a great message. He wanted to bring people together, but that's not the reason for him bleaching his skin.*

He actually had a rare skin disease called vitiligo...you can google it if you want to find out more about it but basically it changes the pigments in your skin. It took over 70% of his body, so he was black----with spots of white everywhere...he didn't want to walk around like that so he did what any normal person would do....he bleached the rest of it white...i guess you could say it was because he wanted to uhh...'make it in the world'...but he just didn't want to be judged and laughed at because he looked like a zebra. =L He was proud of his race and wouldn't do that because he WANTED to he kind of HAD to....
