( Back )
Answer #1:
Because society is stupid and they like to pretend that they like the celebrities that recently died.In reality, nobody ever gave a $hit.
Answer #2:
i dunno maybe because people liked him better that wayAnswer #3:
YesHe was popular either way though, but he did gain more fans obviously
Answer #4:
He didn't become more famous. He was already the most famous celebrity in the world. And as for popularity, he was the 3rd biggest selling artist of all time - he was always popular.
Although he did gain more fans. My 2 younger nieces who previousely only knew a few songs (through me) are now completely in love with him!
The younger generation are being introduced to some real music like his than the bullcrap we hear on radio's today - hence he gained more fans.
Answer #5:
Because I guess a lot more people got into him after he died. I mean, his death was a HUGE event and practically everyone knew about it and then his new movie came out, and albums came out, and he got big again. Before his death he was kind of just a washed up used to be. But in his glory days of his life he was amazing.Answer #6:
Because people felt bad for treating him like shit all them years and turning their backs on him.Know that he's dead, they acknowledge the work he actually did was amazing.
Society is messed up. Everyone is two faced and fake.

He just re-gained his fans. He used to be the same level of fame, but after his 2005 trial pretty much nobody in america cared for him anymore. Just so happens to be when he died, he gained back his normal level of fame. And trust me on this one, cause I know.Answer #16:
he was famous and popular all his lifeway before his death
he has the best selling album and is the king of pop
Answer #17:
I don't think he necessarily become any more famous. (He's been well-known throughout the world for practically all of his life.) I just think that his fans came back full force after his passing along with all of the people who never got the chance to become his fan during his lifetime. Many artists have gotten even more recognition and acknowledgment after their death. Although it's kind of bitter sweet in a way, that's just how it works sometimes. But either way, at least most people finally respect and honor him like they should've been doing a long time ago.Answer #18:
